The Granite Countertop Process From Beginning to End

Hi, guys. Appreciate you coming back to join us for another video blog session. I know everyone’s wondering, “Well, what happens once I sign up? Where do we go from here?”

When you give us a call and say, “Greg, you’re the guy. I want to hire you.” We’re going to do two things. We’re going to schedule a template. Template is what we do to take official measurements of your actual kitchen to go back to our shop and cut and fabricate. We’re also going to schedule the install. Typically, we’d like to schedule a template within about a week, more or less, from when you call us to sign up. And once we have a template in hand, I’ll call you after that point to set the install. From the template to the install, depending on the time of year and our backlog, I would say expect about two weeks – from template to install. The amount of time you need for the template is only about 30 minutes to an hour out of your day, for us to stop by and take care of it. The time we need for the install depends on the size of the project.

I really want to give you a good idea of how long it takes. I would say plan on four to eight hours for your install depending on the size of your kitchen. Now, in some cases, we’re going to be doing a tile backsplash or plumbing for you, which is a service, if you guys need it. And those things usually come the next day. So you’ve got about one hour template appointment, about two weeks later, you’ve got an install which takes about half a day to a full day. And then perhaps, if you signed up for the package, you’ll have tile backsplash and plumbing the next day which would take all day. So, whole thing from when you say you’re hired to finished is about three weeks. It’s going to be super, super easy, guys. And of course, we are always available.
